I. Function Introduction

The automotive wiper motor test bench is suitable for testing the technical performance of various models of automotive wiper motors, including voltage, current, torque, speed, etc. This device simulates the load conditions of the wiper motor during actual operation to test and evaluate the motor's performance. The test bench mainly consists of a load device, control system, data acquisition system, and other components.

Working Principle:

‌Load Device‌: Used to simulate the load of the wiper motor by applying a certain load to put the motor into working condition.

‌Control System‌: Responsible for controlling the magnitude and variation of the load. It gradually increases or decreases the load according to preset test procedures to simulate the motor's operation under different loads.

III. Test Process Design

(1) Test Preparation

Motor Installation: Fix the wiper motor to be tested on the installation fixture and connect the motor power cable and encoder signal cable.

Parameter Setting: Input test parameters into the test software, including motor model, rated speed, rated torque, test items, loading mode, etc.

Equipment Check: Check whether all systems of the test bench (drive system, load system, measurement and control system) are operating normally and whether the sensor connections are secure. After confirming no abnormalities, start the test.

(2) Test Execution

Start Test: Click the "Start" button on the touchscreen. The test bench starts the motor according to the preset parameters, the loading system gradually applies the load, and the data acquisition system begins collecting the motor's operating data in real-time.

Process Monitoring: The operator monitors the motor's operating status, various performance parameters, and curve changes in real-time through the touchscreen or test software, observing whether the motor runs smoothly and whether there are any abnormal sounds or vibrations.

Condition Switching: According to the test plan, switch the loading mode at different stages (e.g., from no-load to rated load, from rated load to overload, etc.). The test software automatically records the test data under each condition.

(3) Post-Test Processing

Data Saving and Analysis: After the test is completed, save the collected data to the industrial computer's hard drive. Use the data analysis function of the test software to calculate the motor's performance indicators and generate a test report.

Result Judgment: Compare the test results with the motor's technical standards or enterprise requirements to determine whether the motor's performance is qualified.

IV. Safety Protection Measures

Electrical Safety: All electrical equipment of the test bench is grounded for protection, and leakage protection switches are installed to prevent electric leakage accidents. The control cabinet adopts a waterproof and dustproof design, with internal cooling fans and temperature sensors to avoid overheating and damage to electrical components.

Mechanical Safety: Protective covers are installed on moving parts such as the motor installation fixture and load loading device to prevent accidental contact by operators.

Emergency Stop: An emergency stop button is installed at the test bench location. In case of an emergency (e.g., equipment failure, personnel injury, etc.), the operator can immediately press the button to stop all moving parts of the test bench, ensuring safety.
