I. Equipment Purpose

Designed specifically for engineering machinery vehicle service brakes, capable of performing fatigue strength tests under 30kN・m level braking torque, focusing on evaluating: the interaction between brake air pressure and braking torque during continuous operation; the dynamic impact of temperature changes on brake performance; and the structural integrity and functional stability of brakes (drum/disc) after 5000-50,000 braking cycles, providing data support for fatigue life assessment and reliability verification of braking systems.

II. Technical Parameters

Maximum Braking Torque: 30kN・m

Brake Air Pressure Control: 0-1.6MPa, pressure loading rate 20bar/s;

Braking Deceleration: Configurable to 3.5m/s² or 5.9m/s²;

Braking Cycle: 5s±0.5s, braking time ≤1.5s, brake drum/disc rotation angle ≥15°;

Fatigue Test Cycles: Supports 5,000 and 50,000 cycles, capable of continuous operation with automatic counting.

Temperature Measurement Range: -50℃ to 500℃;

Data Acquisition Frequency: ≥20kHz;

Curve Plotting Function: Automatically generates 8 types of core curves (brake drum/disc rotation angle-time, braking torque-time, braking time curve, etc.), supporting real-time display and historical data review.

Compatible Types: Drum brakes, disc brakes;

Installation Requirements: Fixed according to actual vehicle conditions, equipped with torque wrench calibration function;

III. Test Procedure

1. Specimen Pretreatment: Place the brake sample into the cleaning unit to remove grease, coatings, and other foreign materials from the brake lining/pad and brake drum/disc friction surfaces, ensuring the friction surfaces are free of contaminants;

2. Installation and Fixation: Install the brake sample onto the main unit according to actual vehicle conditions, tighten connecting bolts with a calibrated torque wrench to the specified torque;

3. Run-in Test: Conduct brake run-in and fatigue strength tests, performing 500 low-intensity braking cycles according to preset procedures to ensure proper friction surface contact; inspect drum brake support pin hole deformation, brake shoe deformation and damage, friction lining displacement, brake backing plate deformation, installation part deformation, and looseness. Inspect disc brake pad insertion part deformation, brake caliper deformation, brake pad deformation and damage, installation part deformation, and looseness.

4. Fatigue Test: Set the number of braking cycles (5,000/50,000) and deceleration (3.5m/s² or 5.9m/s²), then initiate automatic testing;

5. Data Recording and Analysis: Monitor temperature, torque, and pressure changes in real-time, automatically plot curves, and generate a report including structural deformation inspection results after the test.
