Product Overview
The design, production, and calibration of the electromagnetic flow energy meter comply with the "JB/T9248-1999 Electromagnetic Flowmeter" standard. Before leaving the factory, the product undergoes strict testing of multiple technical indicators to ensure accuracy and reliability.
This flowmeter is suitable for measuring the flow of all conductive liquids with an electrical conductivity greater than 5 μs/cm. There are no moving or flow-obstructing components inside the measuring tube, resulting in minimal resistance loss and no clogging. The performance of the flowmeter is unaffected by changes in liquid pressure, temperature, or density. The sensor uses low-frequency multi-state excitation, which is immune to power frequency and various on-site interferences. It offers high measurement accuracy, excellent stability, and low installation requirements. The electromagnetic flow converter provides a stable excitation current to the sensor's excitation coil to maintain a constant magnetic field (B). At the same time, it amplifies the electromotive force induced by the sensor and converts it into a standard current signal or frequency signal, facilitating flow display, control, and adjustment.
When measuring flow, the conductive liquid cuts through a magnetic field perpendicular to the direction of flow, inducing a voltage signal proportional to the average flow velocity (i.e., volumetric flow). Therefore, the flowing liquid being measured must have a minimum electrical conductivity. This signal is detected by two electrodes in direct contact with the liquid and transmitted via cable to the converter, where it is converted into a unified standard signal. After a series of digital processing, both cumulative flow and instantaneous flow are displayed on the converter screen.
Flowmeter Installation Methods
(a) The flowmeter is usually installed horizontally, with the axes of the two electrodes at the same horizontal level.
(b) To prevent negative pressure, the flowmeter should be installed at a lower height than the pipeline, or sufficient back pressure should be ensured on the downstream side of the flowmeter.
(c) If the inner diameter of the flowmeter does not match the pipeline inner diameter, the pipeline inner diameter should be larger than that of the flowmeter, and a reducer or expander with a cone angle not exceeding 15° should be installed between them.
(d) For measuring solid-liquid two-phase flow, the flowmeter should be installed vertically with flow direction from bottom to top.
(e) To minimize the effects of vortices and flow field distortion, there are specific requirements for the lengths of straight pipe sections before and after the flowmeter; otherwise, measurement accuracy may be affected.
