Product Overview

The TQ series electric thermal actuators are primarily used to control the opening or closing of heating or cooling system pipelines to regulate room temperature. The controller is installed on hot or cold water valves, and the thermal (electric wax) structure inside the actuator controls the valve's opening or closing. The actuator is controlled by a thermostat installed indoors. When the controller is not working (power off), the valve remains normally closed or normally open. For normally closed valves, when the room temperature does not reach the set temperature, the thermostat controls the electric thermal actuator to power on and operate, opening the valve to allow the flow of cold/hot medium into the heat exchanger, providing a comfortable room temperature. When the room temperature reaches the thermostat set value, the controller powers off and stops working, and the valve reset spring closes the valve, cutting off the cold/hot medium. For normally open valves, when the room temperature does not reach the thermostat set value, the thermostat controls the electric thermal actuator to remain powered off and inactive, keeping the valve open to allow the flow of cold/hot medium into the heat exchanger. When the room temperature reaches the thermostat set value, the controller powers on and operates, closing the valve and cutting off the medium entering the heat exchanger. By opening/closing the valve, the room temperature is maintained within the range set by the thermostat. The electric thermal valve and the valve body are connected via threaded or snap-fit quick connections, allowing the actuator to be installed after the valve is in place, offering flexible, convenient on-site assembly, with performance that is reliable, durable, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Normally closed actuators automatically open the valve when powered on, while normally open actuators automatically close the valve when powered on. Users must confirm the actuator type before purchasing.

Usage Instructions

1. The controller is fixed directly onto the valve by hand; no tools should be used to avoid damaging the controller;

2. The controller is not designed for disassembly or repair; forcibly opening the casing will completely damage the controller;

3. The installation direction should be horizontal or vertical, not inverted, to prevent liquid from entering the casing;

4. When installed in a cabinet, reserve more than 30mm of space above the controller for easy operation or replacement.
