Product Overview
The P74JA differential pressure controller combines two highly sensitive pressure elements. Any change in these elements triggers the switching mechanism to control equipment such as motor-driven valves. The switching mechanism provides SPDT non-snap (floating) action, so the common movable contact will engage with one of the two fixed contacts, or remain between them (no contact).

General Instructions
A. Ensure that the controller is not installed on instruments that exceed its electrical specifications. For the maximum electrical specifications and contact action of the controller, refer to the label attached inside the controller housing.
B. Before connecting the pressure controller, ensure all pipelines are clean and vented.
C. Avoid sharp bends or twists in the connecting copper tubes.
D. Leave a longer section of the connecting copper tube, coil it, and secure it properly to prevent vibration from causing slack. Avoid excessive tension, which may lead to string vibration and breakage of the copper tube. Prevent friction or impact between the copper tube and surrounding surfaces to avoid damage.
Application Scope
A. The P74JA differential pressure sensor is commonly used in water systems to control the differential pressure between the supply and return pipes. The SPDT floating action of the controller engages the contacts to operate motor-driven valves. A typical application involves installing the valve in a bypass pipe near the system water pump. When the system differential pressure exceeds the controller's set value, the valve opens further, allowing more water to flow through the bypass valve, thereby reducing the system differential pressure. A decrease in differential pressure causes the valve to close slightly, increasing the system differential pressure again.
B. For systems where operational failure may lead to personal injury or property damage (alarm, monitoring systems), an alarm should be triggered in case of failure. The installer is responsible for adding protective measures (safety, limit controls) or installing alarm monitoring systems.
