Nitrogen production carbon molecular sieve (CMS) is used to separate air and enrich nitrogen under normal temperature and pressure swing conditions. Compared with the traditional cryogenic high-pressure nitrogen production process, it has the advantages of lower investment cost, faster nitrogen production speed, and lower nitrogen cost. Therefore, it is currently the preferred pressure swing adsorption (P.S.A) air separation nitrogen enrichment adsorbent in the nitrogen-using industry. This nitrogen is widely used in the chemical industry, oil and gas industry, electronics industry, food industry, coal industry, pharmaceutical industry, cable industry, metal heat treatment, transportation, and storage, etc. 3.1. If conditions permit, reducing the adsorption temperature can better demonstrate the excellent nitrogen production performance of the nitrogen generator; 2. During storage, pay attention to low temperature and dryness, and store sealed. 4. According to the different adsorption and diffusion rates of carbon molecular sieve for oxygen and nitrogen, the adsorption of O2 reaches equilibrium in a short time. At this time, the adsorption amount of N2 is very small. A shorter gas production time can effectively improve the gas production rate of the carbon molecular sieve, but it also increases the action frequency of the valve, so the performance of the valve is also very important. Generally, the adsorption time is selected to be 30 to 120 seconds. Short gas production time is recommended for small high-purity nitrogen generators, and long gas production time is recommended for large low-concentration ones. 5. Operating pressure While the carbon molecular sieve has a kinetic effect, it also has an equilibrium adsorption effect. The higher the partial pressure of the adsorbate, the higher the adsorption capacity. Therefore, pressurized adsorption is beneficial. However, if the adsorption pressure is too high, the requirements for the selection of the air compressor also increase. In addition, the two processes of atmospheric regeneration and vacuum regeneration have different requirements for adsorption pressure. Considering various factors, it is recommended that the adsorption pressure for the atmospheric regeneration process be selected as 5 to 8 Kg/cm2; the adsorption pressure for the vacuum regeneration process be selected as 3 to 5 Kg/cm2. 6. Operating temperature As an adsorbent, selecting a lower adsorption temperature is beneficial to the performance of the carbon molecular sieve. If conditions permit, reducing the adsorption temperature is beneficial for the nitrogen generator process. 5. Nitrogen Generator Carbon Molecular Sieve During the use of the nitrogen generator carbon molecular sieve, improper operation and maintenance can cause poisoning. For example: if the early air purification is not equipped with treatment equipment or the equipped equipment is running with problems, causing oil and water impurities to enter the adsorption tower directly with the air and be adsorbed by the carbon molecular sieve, resulting in poisoning, the analytical ability is seriously damaged, and the nitrogen production and nitrogen purity are greatly reduced. In addition, after the carbon molecular sieve reaches a certain service life, its nitrogen purity will significantly decrease and cannot meet the usage requirements. In such cases, it is necessary to consider replacing the carbon molecular sieve.
