In the biological aerated filter process for water treatment, to provide oxygen necessary for microbial survival, conventional biological filters typically have ventilation holes at the lower part of the filter, relying on natural ventilation for oxygen supply. This often results in uneven distribution of air pressure, causing short-circuiting and local air blockage. Natural ventilation oxygen supply is constrained by the temperature difference between the tank and the ambient air, the height of the filter, the porosity of the filter media, and wind conditions, making it unable to provide stable and uniform ventilation. The biological aerated filter replaces natural ventilation by forcibly introducing air into the filter media layer, fully supplying sufficient and stable oxygen required for the metabolism of microorganisms living on the filter media, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the biological aerated filter.
I. Features
Not affected by the temperature difference between the tank and ambient air, nor constrained by the height of the filter or the porosity of the filter media. The bubble diameter is small, and the bubble distribution range is wide. The aerator outlet has evenly spaced protrusions and depressions, making it less prone to clogging and resistant to filter media compression.
II. Structure
The air distribution pipes and branch pipes are made of ABS-UPVC rigid plastic. The aerator is made of ABS and consists of an upper clamp, a lower clamp, a single-orifice membrane (using imported EPDM rubber from Japan), an ABS fixed adjustment bracket, and other components.
