Ceramsite

Our company produces ceramsite using clay as the primary raw material, blended with a certain proportion of pore-forming agents and inorganic aggregates. It is processed through a series of steps including batching, pre-watering pelletization, high-temperature sintering, and screening to form spherical granular materials. Its main component is meta-aluminosilicate, appearing dark brown or grayish-brown, with particle sizes adjustable according to different requirements.

The rough and microporous surface makes bio-ceramsite particularly suitable for the growth and reproduction of microorganisms. Modern water treatment processes fully utilize these characteristics, making it an ideal filter medium for water treatment, especially for the biological pretreatment of wastewater and micro-polluted water sources, as well as drinking water filtration technology. Coupled with its moderate density, high strength, abrasion resistance, stable physical and chemical properties, and non-release of toxic or harmful substances into water bodies, it has become the preferred filter material for water treatment engineering.
