AATCC Standard Friction Cloth
Other Products
AATCC white cotton cloth is originally imported from the United States and is also known as small white cloth, rubbing white cloth, or colorfastness test white cloth. It is used with a crockmeter (rubbing fastness tester) under standard dry/wet conditions by setting a specific number of back-and-forth rubbing cycles.
After rubbing, the degree of color fading (color change) and staining is evaluated using the AATCC standard gray scale for color change, AATCC standard gray scale for staining, and AATCC standard 9-step chromatic transference scale (some standards specify the use of ISO gray scales).
This process assesses the ability of the fabric to resist color transfer when it comes into contact with other substances. This standard rubbing cloth is widely used in Japanese standards (JIS), American standards, European standards, and Chinese national standards, as well as in standards from brands such as adidas, NIKE, and Li-Ning.
