Precautions for Using Plastic Nine-Leg Grid Pallets
Other Products
Placement of Goods
Even Distribution: Goods should be evenly distributed on the pallet to avoid shifting of the center of gravity or localized overload. Especially for heavier items, pay extra attention to even distribution to prevent deformation or damage to the pallet due to uneven force, which could affect its service life and load-bearing capacity.
Standardized Stacking: Follow specific stacking rules, such as arranging the stacking method reasonably based on the shape, size, and weight of the goods to ensure stable stacking on the pallet. This prevents goods from collapsing during handling or transportation, which could lead to product damage or safety incidents.
Handling Operations
Use Appropriate Equipment: When using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks to move pallets, ensure that the fork dimensions match the pallet’s fork pockets. The forks should be able to insert smoothly into the pockets and reach as deep into the bottom of the pallet as possible to ensure stability during handling.
Avoid Collisions: During handling, take care to avoid collisions between the pallet and other objects. Exercise caution, especially when navigating narrow passages, doorways, or when storing or retrieving pallets from racks, to prevent impacts on the edges or corners that could cause cracking or damage.
Handle with Care: Whether loading or unloading goods, always handle them gently and avoid rough operations to minimize impact on the pallet. This helps prevent damage caused by sudden excessive force.
Storage Environment
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause plastic pallets to age and become brittle, reducing their strength and toughness. Therefore, store pallets in a cool, ventilated indoor environment away from direct sunlight.
Keep Dry: Plastic pallets should be kept away from damp environments to prevent moisture absorption, which could affect their performance. Additionally, avoid conditions that promote the growth of bacteria, mold, or other microorganisms on the surface, which could compromise the hygiene of the goods.
Prevent High Temperatures: Keep pallets away from heat sources and high-temperature environments, as excessive heat can cause deformation and reduce load-bearing capacity. Generally, the usable temperature range for plastic mesh nine-leg pallets is between -20°C and 60°C. Exceeding this range may cause damage.
Regular Inspections
Visual Inspection: Regularly inspect the pallet’s appearance for cracks, deformations, wear, or other signs of damage. Address minor issues, such as small cracks or wear, promptly with repairs or protective measures to prevent further deterioration.
Functional Testing: Periodically test the pallet’s functionality, such as checking whether its load-bearing capacity has decreased or if the fork pockets are deformed, affecting equipment insertion. Pallets with significantly reduced load-bearing capacity or severe damage should be promptly replaced with new ones to ensure the safety of goods during transportation and storage.
