Usage Recommendations      

Procare DF 505 is recommended for use in rinse-off and leave-on personal care formulations at a concentration of 0.05~0.15%. However, it is not recommended for products that come into direct contact with mucous membranes, such as eye products, lipsticks, and toothpaste.

Procare DF 505 enhances the inhibitory activity against mold and yeast, with an applicable pH range of up to 10. The preservative should be added as the last ingredient in the formulation, at a maximum temperature of 80°C. Procare DF 505 has excellent compatibility and can be used with anionic, cationic, and non-ionic surfactants.

Due to the wide variation in ingredients and formulations of personal care products, which may affect the efficacy of the preservative, we strongly recommend testing the efficacy and stability of Procare DF 505 before production.
