Usage Recommendations      

  • For shampoo: Castor Oil Maleate Esters are primarily used in shampoo to replenish oils, improve slip during rinsing, and enhance wet combing performance. The recommended dosage in shampoo is 0.1-0.3%. It is easy to use—simply add to the formulation below 50°C and mix uniformly.
  • For body wash, facial cleanser, and other cleansing products: Castor Oil Maleate Esters provide a refreshing yet non-drying, oily yet non-greasy feel. The recommended dosage in body wash and facial cleanser formulations is 0.2-2%. It can be directly added to the formulation below 50°C and mixed uniformly. Alternatively, it can be pre-emulsified with a suitable amount of surfactant before being added to the formulation and mixed thoroughly. Additionally, when used in cleansing products, Castor Oil Maleate Esters can be combined with palmitic acid. This combination forms a ceramide-like lamellar structure, which provides long-lasting moisturization when applied in formulations. It also mimics skin lipids, enhancing the skin's barrier function and reducing irritation and damage caused by surfactants and other chemicals in the formulation.
