Bronopol Biocide

Usage Recommendations      

• Bronopol is a low-toxicity, broad-spectrum, high-efficiency antifungal and antibacterial agent. Its safety complies with cosmetic hygiene standards, making it suitable for pharmaceuticals, various industrial detergents, household sanitary detergents, shampoos, conditioners, bath liquids, skincare creams, and nutrient protein solutions for mold and bacteria prevention. It is also widely used in industrial circulating water and the leather industry for mold and bacteria control. Bronopol offers excellent antibacterial and antifungal effects with a wide pH application range. However, it is unstable under high temperatures and alkaline conditions. Substances containing -SH groups, such as cysteine, may reduce its antibacterial efficacy. Its color may darken under sunlight, and metals like aluminum and iron can diminish its antibacterial activity. The recommended usage concentration is 0.02~0.05%. It is best added at temperatures ≤50°C.
