Features and Benefits:

• Excellent compatibility with cationic, anionic, and non-ionic surfactants. However, its antibacterial performance may be reduced when in contact with amines, sulfhydryl compounds, thioethers, and sulfites (esters)

• Preservative efficacy is not affected by proteins or protein hydrolysates in the formulation
• Recommended safe usage level: 0.05% to 0.1%
• Excellent environmental profile: Rapidly degrades without accumulating in organisms and does not persist in normal environments, meeting environmental requirements

Usage Recommendations      

• Recommended dosage of Kathon preservative is 0.01% to 0.1%.
•   Kathon preservative should be added as the last ingredient in the formulation, preferably at temperatures ≤50°C. Due to the wide variation in ingredients and formulations of personal care products, which may affect the efficacy of the preservative, we strongly recommend verifying the efficacy and stability of Kathon preservative before production.
