Introduction:

During operation, the light source of an exposure machine—a metal halide lamp—must reach 800°C to 1000°C to emit ultraviolet light, causing the lamp to continuously generate heat. Higher temperatures result in higher energy output, leading to unstable exposure energy over the same period, which affects exposure quality and reduces the lamp's lifespan. The worktable temperature must not be too high, typically maintained between 20°C and 30°C. If the worktable temperature exceeds this range, it can cause deformation of the exposure frame and film, necessitating a cooling system to lower the temperature in the exposure chamber and on the worktable.

The cooling system primarily uses air conditioning to cool hot air through a cycle of cold and hot air exchange. The cold air from the air conditioner is delivered through outlets and fans to cool the lamp tubes in the lightbox, the exposure frame, and the current limiters and transformers under the worktable. Since there is an insulating glass between the lightbox and the reflector, two axial fans are required to direct cold air into the lightbox to cool the lamp tubes. The air from the lamp tubes is then circulated back to the air conditioner via a centrifugal fan for the next cycle, ensuring continuous circulation of cold and hot air within the exposure chamber.
