CNC Machine Automatic Centering Probe System

Zhongtu Instrument's PO Series CNC Machine Tool Automatic Centering Probe System is an auxiliary measurement device in machine tool processing. It can automatically compensate for dimensional deviations in the machine tool and cutting tools, resulting in high machining accuracy. It eliminates the need for workpiece transportation and waiting time, enabling automatic measurement, automatic recording, and automatic calibration, thereby reducing labor costs and improving machining precision and efficiency.

The PO40 is an infrared-triggered machine tool probe with 3D 5-direction probing capabilities. It features a compact size, high precision, stable transmission, and strong compatibility. It is widely used in 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers, as well as turning-milling compound machining centers. Using the machine tool probe enables alignment, centering, and on-machine measurement, improving production efficiency.

Product Features 

• Infrared Modulated Transmission 

The designed infrared modulated transmission function offers strong resistance to stray light interference. It has a large transmission coverage range: 360° in the XY plane and ±85° in the Z direction, with a linear transmission distance of up to 5m (standard power consumption).

• High Repeatability and Long Lifespan: 

2δ < 1.0 μm, with a triggering lifespan exceeding 10 million cycles.

Multiple On/Off Methods 

By default, M-code is used to turn the probe on/off. When the machine tool port is not ready, the receiver's automatic activation and probe delayed shutdown functions can also be used.

• High Battery Life 

Special low-power design ensures the battery can be used continuously for 150 hours (over 90 days at 5% usage rate). Battery life is even longer in low-power mode.

• Intuitive Probe Diagnostic Indicators 

Provides wake/sleep, in-position/triggered, and battery status information, making it easier to determine the probe’s current status, improving usability and safety.

• Usage Compatibility 

Compatible with mainstream products, making it convenient for customers to use.

• Probe Sealing 

Rated IPX8, suitable for various harsh machine tool processing environments.

3D Measurement Software 

The PO Series CNC Machine Tool Automatic Centering Probe System can be used with Zhongtu’s on-machine measurement software to automatically generate measurement programs and provide 3D measurement data and analysis reports.
