TC-TD500 Paperboard Stiffness Tester The TC-TD500 Paperboard Stiffness Tester (also known as paperboard stiffness tester, paper stiffness tester, stiffness tester) is a standard universal Taber-type stiffness tester. The main technical parameters of the instrument comply with the relevant provisions of national standards and international standards. Stiffness is an indicator that measures the bending resistance strength of paper and paperboard. The Taber-type stiffness tester is an instrument used to determine this indicator, and Taber stiffness belongs to the static bending strength index. 1. The Taber stiffness tester is designed based on the principle of static balance of torque about the axis of rotation. By measuring the force or moment required to bend a clamped specimen to a given angle, the stiffness value of the specimen is obtained. The bending force on the specimen acts over a constant bending length. 2. The Taber stiffness tester is a special testing device designed according to the two-point loading method and the principle of moment balance. The instrument consists of a transmission part, a measurement part, and a support installation base part. 3. The transmission part consists of a motor that drives the angle dial through an intermediate transmission chain. The rotation of the angle dial drives the paper pusher frame to work. 4. The measurement part consists of a force dial, an angle dial, a diamond-shaped pendulum, a paper clamp, a paper pusher frame, and other components. The motor drives the angle dial to rotate, and the paper pusher frame on the angle dial rotates with it. The small round rod on the paper pusher frame contacts the specimen and pushes it to bend. The specimen is clamped in the jaws of the paper clamp, which is installed on the diamond-shaped pendulum. Under the rigidity of the specimen itself, the specimen is subjected to force, and the diamond-shaped pendulum is also subjected to a moment. Under the action of the moment, the pendulum is pushed to rotate. When the relative rotation angle between the pendulum and the angle dial reaches 15° (or 7.5°), it stops, and the system reaches moment balance.
