Harmonic Drive

Working Principle

Typically adopts a configuration with the wave generator as the active component, the rigid wheel fixed, and the flexible wheel as the output. During operation, the rigid wheel is fixed, the motor drives the wave generator to rotate, and the flexible wheel acts as the driven wheel, outputting rotation to drive the load movement.

· High load capacity: In harmonic drive, the meshing of teeth is surface contact, and the number of simultaneously meshing teeth (overlap coefficient) is relatively high, resulting in low unit area load and higher load capacity compared to other transmission forms.
