Working Principle

When the conveyor belt operates normally, the sealing cavity tightly adheres to the belt surface through flexible sealing elements, forming a closed barrier around the belt, preventing airflow between different areas from passing through the gap between the belt and the air door.

• If slight vibrations or deviations occur during conveyor operation, the follow-up sealing mechanism adjusts the position of the sealing elements in real time through elastic or rolling structures to maintain adhesion, ensuring continuous sealing effectiveness.
• When the air door needs to open (e.g., for personnel or vehicle passage), the linkage opening and closing component synchronizes its action, partially opening or adjusting the position of the sealing device to provide space for the air door's operation. After the air door closes, the sealing device automatically resets, re-establishing a closed state and restoring its sealing function.

Main Functions and Advantages

1. Ensures Sealing Performance: Blocks the gap between the conveyor belt and the air door through multiple sealing structures, maintaining stable air pressure on both sides of the air door and ensuring the ventilation system's regulation effectiveness.
2. Adapts to Belt Operation: The follow-up mechanism accommodates the dynamic movement of the conveyor belt, preventing sealing failure due to belt vibrations or deviations, and ensuring equipment reliability throughout the belt's operation.
3. Synchronizes with Air Door Action: Operates in sync with the air door's opening and closing, neither hindering its normal passage function nor delaying the rapid restoration of sealing after the air door closes, achieving coordination between production and sealing.
4. Wear Resistance and Easy Maintenance: Wear-resistant materials and protective designs extend equipment lifespan. Daily maintenance only requires cleaning sealing elements and checking the tightness of linkage mechanisms, reducing maintenance costs.

Application Scenarios and Maintenance

Primarily used in areas where conveyor belts pass through underground air doors, especially in tunnels with frequent transportation and high requirements for air pressure control (e.g., mining area transport tunnels, main connecting tunnels).
Daily maintenance should focus on:

• Regularly cleaning dust and debris from the surface of sealing elements to prevent accumulation that could compromise sealing;
• Inspecting elastic components (e.g., springs) of the follow-up mechanism for aging or failure, and replacing them promptly to ensure proper adhesion of sealing elements;
• Adjusting the synchronization of linkage components to ensure coordinated movement between the air door and the sealing device, without jamming or delays.
