Introduction:
Femto Watt Optical Receiver FWPR-20 Series
The FWPR-20 series optical receiver is an amplifier specifically designed in combination with low-noise Si or InGaAs PIN photodiodes; it features extremely high gain up to 10¹² V/A and very low noise. This unique combination results in exceptionally high sensitivity due to its particularly low noise equivalent power of 0.7 fW/√Hz. Without the need for further averaging behind the receiver, it can directly detect optical power as low as approximately 50 fW. The FEMTO FWPR-20 series optical receiver can replace APDs, PMTs, and cooled Ge photodiodes in many applications.
