Therefore, even at 100dB gain, they are exceptionally suitable for DC coupling without requiring permanent offset voltage adjustment. The ideal variable gain amplifier maintains a bandwidth independent of the gain setting. This is crucial for measuring fast signals and pulses. FEMTO's DLPVA amplifiers maintain a constant bandwidth of up to 100kHz (-3dB) even at the highest gain settings. Broadband noise can be reduced by switching the upper cutoff frequency to 1kHz.
