GE VMIPCI Reflective Memory Card

The PMC-5565 is a standard PMC bus reflective memory real-time interface board designed for 3U/6U CPCI/PXI bus systems. It is suitable for applications requiring high-bandwidth, large-volume data transmission at high speeds, while simultaneously enabling low-latency rapid external event response and accurate synchronization across distributed multi-node systems. In successful deployment environments, it ensures deterministic high-speed data transmission and sharing.

[Features] PMC bus interface, 32-bit/33MHz, supports DMA read/write of onboard memory data, real-time interrupt and real-time broadcast. Node ID is set via jumper, supporting up to 256 nodes. Onboard memory: 128MB with error checking. Automatically adjusts packet size from 4 to 64 bytes. Sustained high data transfer rate up to 170MB/s. Extremely low data transmission latency—read/write between two nodes as low as 750 nanoseconds. Transmission distance: up to 300 meters with multi-mode fiber, 10 kilometers with single-mode fiber. Optional redundant transmission mode. Supports both ring and star topology connections. Any data written to the local node is automatically synchronized to the same memory area across all nodes in the network. Network interrupts sent to remote nodes during an ongoing update will not be triggered.
