The main differences between Type I and Type II inorganic thermal insulation mortar lie in density, compressive strength, thermal conductivity, and insulation effectiveness.

Density and Compressive Strength

Type I: Density above 230 kg/m³, compressive strength above 0.30 MPa.

Type II: Density above 280 kg/m³, compressive strength above 0.50 MPa.

Thermal Conductivity and Insulation Effectiveness

Type I: Thermal conductivity above 0.058 W/(m·K), with relatively good insulation performance.

Type II: Thermal conductivity above 0.068 W/(m·K), with slightly inferior insulation effectiveness compared to Type I.

Application Scenarios

Inorganic thermal insulation mortar is suitable for substrates such as concrete walls, lightweight fill masonry, clay bricks, etc. It can also be used in the renovation of old residential areas and energy-saving insulation in new residential developments.
