The general principle is that the more complex the casting, the lower the dilution ratio.

Additionally, the brushing method does not require special equipment, making it cost-effective and suitable for small-scale production or maintenance work.

Spraying Method

The spraying method involves using a spray gun to evenly apply the specialized release agent onto the mold surface. This method improves work efficiency, particularly for large-area mold treatment. Spraying ensures more uniform coverage of the mold surface, reduces missed spots and waste, and allows for better control of the amount used. Furthermore, the spraying method reduces manual labor and lowers work intensity.

Selection Criteria

Work Efficiency: For large-area mold treatment, the spraying method is more efficient.

Cost: The spraying method requires specialized spray gun equipment, which involves a higher initial investment, but it can save labor and time costs in the long run.

Applicable Scenarios: For complex mold structures, the brushing method may be more flexible; for large, flat surfaces, the spraying method is more suitable.

Specific Application Scenarios

Concrete Templates: Common specialized release agents for concrete templates include oil-based, water-based, and resin-based types. Oil-based release agents such as engine oil, diesel oil, and emulsified engine oil can be applied by brushing or spraying. Water-based release agents such as sodium alginate can also be applied by brushing or spraying. Resin-based release agents such as methyl silicone resin can be applied by brushing or spraying.

Metal Die-Casting: In metal die-casting, the specialized release agent is primarily used to prevent adhesion between the metal and the mold. The spraying method ensures better coverage of the mold surface, improving release effectiveness.
