Injection molding machine release agents are divided into two types: external injection molding machine release agents and internal injection molding machine release agents. To facilitate the easy removal of products from the mold during molding processing, a coating applied to the surface of the mold is referred to as an external injection molding machine release agent. An ideal injection molding machine release agent should possess good thermal and chemical stability, not corrode the mold, leave no residue on the mold surface, provide the product with a good appearance, and not affect the product's color, adhesion, paintability, etc. It should also minimize mold cleaning time; be non-toxic, safe, easy to operate, and low-cost. This technology provides an injection molding machine release agent and its application.

This injection molding machine release agent is mainly used for demolding polyurethane products after casting during production, providing excellent demolding effects for most polyurethane moldings. Its characteristic is that the product uses water as the dispersion phase, forming a water-soluble substance that not only functions to demold polyurethane foam but is also biodegradable, produces no harmful substances such as VOCs, and is environmentally friendly. Moreover, water, as a diluent, is non-polluting, readily available, and low-cost.

Performance Requirements

The function of an injection molding machine release agent is to smoothly separate the cured product from the mold, resulting in a smooth and flat product while ensuring the mold can be used multiple times. Specific performance requirements are as follows:

1. Demolding performance (lubricity). Forms a uniform film and ensures dimensional accuracy for complex-shaped moldings.

2. Good continuous demolding performance.

3. The appearance of the molded product is smooth and aesthetically pleasing, without attracting dust due to the application of a sticky release agent.

4. Excellent secondary processability. When the release agent transfers to the molded product, it has no adverse effects on processes such as electroplating, hot pressing, printing, coating, or adhesion.

5. Easy application.

6. Heat resistance.

7. Stain resistance.

8. Good molding performance and high production efficiency.

9. Good stability. Physically and chemically stable when used with compounding agents and materials.

10. Non-flammability, low odor, low toxicity.

Precautions for Using Injection Molding Machine Release Agent
1. Dilute with water (dilution ratio 3-10 times as appropriate), and mix evenly. The dilution ratio can also be adjusted according to on-site needs. Use the diluted mixture as soon as possible.
2. Apply using a spray gun or roller brush. Allow the mold coated with the release agent to dry completely before pouring concrete.
3. Clean the template or mold surface before application.
4. Store at room temperature, protect from freezing and direct sunlight. After opening, ensure the container is sealed and stored properly.
5. Avoid application during rainy weather. If rain washes away the freshly applied coating, reapply before proceeding.
6. Packaging specification: 50KG drum.

The main chemical components of injection molding machine release agents include methyl silicone oil, water-soluble emulsion, styrene, polyvinyl chloride, phenolic resin, silicone oil, oils, and additives. These components collectively contribute to the performance and effectiveness of the release agent, ensuring its application efficacy and safety in various processes. Methyl silicone oil is a key component, providing excellent lubricity and demolding effects, effectively reducing adhesion between the mold and the product. Water-soluble emulsion serves as the base, ensuring good stability and dispersibility in water. Styrene, polyvinyl chloride, and phenolic resin enhance the chemical and thermal resistance of the release agent, ensuring it is not easily dissolved when in contact with different resins. Silicone oil and oils further improve the smoothness and ease of cleaning, while additives are used to adjust and enhance the performance of the release agent. Injection molding machine release agents are widely used in medium to high-temperature production demolding processes in various industries, including plastics, rubber products, foam, and metal alloy die-casting. Their advantages include resistance to acids, alkalis, and hard water, strong water solubility, good stability, and the ability to be diluted with water in any proportion without layering, breaking, or clumping.
