Compared to oil-based polyurethane release agents, water-based polyurethane release agents offer the following advantages: lower emissions of volatile organic compounds during use, improving the working environment and benefiting worker health; reduced fire risk during storage and use; lower cost and ease of use, as they can be diluted directly with water, reducing raw material and storage costs; and lower environmental impact due to minimal organic waste emissions during application.

The main ingredients of water-based polyurethane release agents include wax, stearic acid, vegetable oil, co-emulsifiers, potassium hydroxide, etc., produced through heating, melting, and emulsification processes. They are characterized by safe operation, minimal environmental pollution, low health risks, excellent release performance, and biodegradability.

When using water-based polyurethane release agents, it is recommended to dilute with tap water and stir thoroughly, determining the appropriate dilution ratio based on the complexity of the casting and site conditions. For complex castings, it is advisable to spray a uniform layer of diluted release agent onto the mold after each release to ensure easy demolding for the next pouring.

The color of water-based polyurethane release agents is milky white. This type of release agent is typically composed of silicone oil, synthetic lubricating oils, additives, and surfactants, presenting as a milky white emulsion. Water-based polyurethane release agents provide excellent isolation properties, effectively preventing materials like concrete from sticking to the formwork during demolding, while ensuring a smooth, bright surface free of pores and bubbles, and extending the lifespan of the formwork.
