Water-based Form Release Agent

Water-based form release agent is a functional substance that acts between the mold and the finished product. It has chemical resistance and is not dissolved when in contact with the chemical components of different resins (especially styrene and amines). Water-based form release agent also possesses heat and stress resistance, making it less prone to decomposition or wear. It adheres to the mold without transferring to the processed part, and does not interfere with spraying or other secondary processing operations. Due to the rapid development of processes such as injection molding, extrusion, calendering, compression molding, and lamination, the usage of water-based form release agents has significantly increased.

Water-based form release agent has high tensile strength, making it less likely to wear out when frequently in contact with molded resins. This is especially true when the resin contains abrasive mineral fillers or glass fiber reinforcements. The main chemical components of water-based form release agents include methyl silicone oil, water-soluble emulsion, styrene, polyvinyl chloride, phenolic resin, silicone oil, oils, and additives. These components work together to ensure the performance and effectiveness of the release agent, guaranteeing its application and safety in various processes. Methyl silicone oil is a key component in water-based form release agents, providing excellent lubricity and release effects, effectively reducing adhesion between the mold and the finished product. Water-soluble emulsion serves as the base of the release agent, ensuring good stability and dispersibility in water. Components such as styrene, polyvinyl chloride, and phenolic resin enhance the chemical and thermal stability of the release agent, ensuring it is not easily dissolved when in contact with different resins. Silicone oil and oils further improve the smoothness and ease of cleaning of the release agent, while additives are used to adjust and improve its performance. Water-based form release agents are widely used in medium to high-temperature production processes in various industries, including plastics, rubber products, foam, metal alloy die-casting, etc. Their advantages include resistance to acids, alkalis, and hard water, strong water solubility, good stability, and the ability to be diluted with water in any proportion without layering, breaking, or clumping. Precautions for Using Water-Based Form Release Agent
1. Dilute with water (dilution ratio 3-10 times as appropriate) and mix evenly. The dilution ratio can be adjusted according to on-site requirements. Diluted mixtures should be used up as much as possible in one go.
2. Apply using a spray gun or roller brush. Allow the model coated with the release agent to dry completely before pouring concrete.
3. Clean the surface of the formwork or model before application.
4. Store at room temperature, protect from freezing and direct sunlight. After opening, ensure the container is sealed and stored properly.
5. Avoid construction during rain. If the applied coating is washed away by rain, reapply before proceeding.
