Pine Board Release Agent
Pine board release agent is also a water-soluble pine board release agent, meaning the internal components of the pine board release agent can completely dissolve in water. Emulsions of compounds such as methyl silicone oil are commonly used in industry. The emulsion is water-soluble and can achieve high heat resistance, easy cleaning, good corrosion resistance, fire resistance, minimal environmental pollution, and relatively safe transportation and storage.
Due to its high water content, water-based pine board release agents differ in many aspects from traditional oil-based or solvent-based pine board release agents. The release effect of the pine board release agent depends on a film only a few micrometers thick deposited on the cavity surface after spraying. Therefore, there are higher requirements for the selection of components and the use of processes. However, its advantages are also evident, facilitating automated operation, good cooling effect, no scaling, improved surface quality of castings, reduced internal porosity, safe use, clean production, and reduced environmental pollution.
Pine board release agents have strong adhesion, allowing them to preferentially adhere to the mold without transferring to the molded part. They can also modify the resin surface, improving resin flowability and surface quality, and are widely used in molds and for demolding silicone rubber, plastic, and other products.
Advantages of pine board release agents:

The basic formulation of pine board release agents typically includes the following main components:
Base materials: such as paraffin wax, stearic acid, vegetable oil, emulsified wax liquid, methyl silicone oil emulsion, modified silicone oil emulsion, etc.
Emulsifier: Used to evenly disperse the base materials in water to form a stable emulsion.
Water: Serves as the carrier, usually constituting the majority of the formulation.
Additives: Such as preservatives, mildew inhibitors, etc., used to improve the stability and service life of the pine board release agent.
Specific formulation examples:
Paraffin wax, stearic acid, vegetable oil, co-emulsifier, potassium hydroxide, etc.
Heat paraffin wax, stearic acid, co-emulsifier, and auxiliary oily raw materials to 60–80°C to melt. Then heat water, alkaline agents, and auxiliary aqueous raw materials to 80–90°C. Slowly add the aqueous phase to the oil phase under vigorous stirring, stir to room temperature, and obtain a white oil-in-water emulsion.
Polyurethane pine board release agent:
The formulation includes 10%–15% emulsified wax liquid, 15%–20% methyl silicone oil emulsion, 5%–8% modified silicone oil emulsion, 50%–55% deionized water, 4.5%–6% emulsifier, 0.5%–1% additives, and 0.3%–0.5% preservative.
Functions and characteristics of components:
Base materials: Such as paraffin wax and silicone oil, primarily provide lubrication and release effects.
Emulsifier: Helps evenly disperse the base materials in water to form a stable emulsion.
Water: Acts as a diluent, reducing costs and facilitating easy cleaning.
Additives: Improve the stability and service life of the pine board release agent.
Characteristics: Pine board release agents have strong adhesion, no residue, waterproof and rust-proof properties, and are suitable for demolding molds and products made of silicone rubber, plastic, etc.
On construction sites, pine board release agents are mainly used to prevent concrete from adhering to the formwork, ensuring easy removal of the formwork while maintaining a smooth and even concrete surface. Pine board release agents have excellent isolation performance, significantly reducing the occurrence of bubbles and surface defects, resulting in high surface finish, no discoloration, and no contamination of the concrete. They are an environmentally friendly type of release agent.
Pine board release agents are suitable for all cast-in-place concrete walls, columns, beams, slabs, and various precast slabs, pipes, bridges, and other building components in construction projects. They are primarily used for steel formwork, wood formwork, aluminum formwork, etc., providing protection to the formwork and forming a good curing effect.
Compared to oil-based release agents, pine board release agents offer the following advantages: lower emissions of volatile organic compounds during use, improving the working environment and benefiting worker health; lower fire risk during storage and use; lower cost, convenient use by directly mixing with water, reducing raw material and storage costs; and lower environmental cost due to fewer organic waste gases generated during use.
