Its main components include high-viscosity polysiloxane, environmentally friendly surfactants, and efficient emulsifiers, forming a water-based emulsion. The primary functions of plastic release agents include: Release: Enabling plastic products to be easily demolded after forming, reducing adhesion between the mold and the product, and preventing tearing or damage during demolding. Improving Production Efficiency: By reducing demolding resistance, it enhances production efficiency, lowers the defect rate, and extends the mold's service life. Protecting the Mold: Preventing plastic materials from adhering to the mold surface, reducing mold wear, and prolonging the mold's lifespan. Classification of Plastic Release Agents Plastic release agents are mainly categorized into the following types: Internal Release Agents: Added to the molding material, they migrate to the product surface to act as a barrier. External Release Agents: Sprayed onto the mold surface to prevent product adhesion to the mold. Conventional Release Agents: Suitable for general processing needs. Semi-Permanent Release Agents: Ideal for molds requiring multiple uses. Water-Based Release Agents: Environmentally friendly, suitable for production environments with high environmental requirements. Solvent-Free Release Agents: Free of harmful solvents, offering high safety. Application Areas of Plastic Release Agents Plastic release agents are widely used in rubber, plastics, EVA, printing paste, wires and cables, hot melt adhesive products, and as release and anti-adhesion agents during tape slitting. They are particularly suitable for injection molding, vacuum forming, and the production and processing of plastic products. Usage Method of Plastic Release Agents Plastic release agents are typically applied in spray form, coating the mold surface to create a barrier layer. Before use, ensure the mold surface is clean, free of oil stains and impurities, to guarantee effective demolding and mold protection.
