Water-Soluble Release Agent

Water-soluble release agents are divided into two types: external water-soluble release agents and internal water-soluble release agents. To facilitate the easy removal of products from molds during molding processes, a coating applied to the mold surface is referred to as an external water-soluble release agent. An ideal water-soluble release agent should possess good thermal and chemical stability, not corrode the mold, leave no residue on the mold surface, provide the product with a good appearance, and not affect the product's gloss, adhesion, paintability, etc. It should also minimize mold cleaning time, be non-toxic, safe, easy to operate, and cost-effective. This technology provides a water-soluble release agent and its applications.

This water-soluble release agent is primarily used for demolding polyurethane products after the casting process in production, offering excellent release effects for most polyurethane moldings. Its characteristics include using water as the dispersion phase, forming a water-soluble substance that not only functions to release polyurethane foam but is also biodegradable, producing no harmful substances such as VOCs, making it environmentally friendly. Additionally, water serves as a diluent, which is non-polluting, readily available, and low-cost.

Performance Requirements

The role of a water-soluble release agent is to smoothly separate the cured product from the mold, resulting in a smooth and flat product while ensuring the mold can be used multiple times. Specific performance requirements are as follows:

1. Release performance (lubricity). Forms a uniform film and ensures dimensional accuracy for complex-shaped molded parts.

2. Consistent release performance.

3. The appearance of the molded part is smooth and aesthetically pleasing, without attracting dust due to the application of a sticky water-soluble release agent.

4. Excellent secondary processability. When the water-soluble release agent transfers to the molded part, it has no adverse effects on processes such as electroplating, hot pressing, printing, coating, or adhesion.

5. Easy application.

6. Heat resistance.

7. Stain resistance.

8. Good molding performance and high production efficiency.

9. Good stability. Physically and chemically stable when used with compounding agents and materials.

10. Non-flammability, low odor, and low toxicity.

Usage Method of Water-Soluble Release Agent:

Spray or brush the product directly onto the surface of the item to be released. The recommended dilution ratio for the water-soluble release agent is 3-10 times, and the specific amount used should be adjusted according to the product system.

Main Functions:

1. Reduce contact area: Forms a coating between the mold and the product, reducing the contact area and preventing adhesion.

2. Improve separation: Enhances the separation between the mold and the product, reducing the likelihood of material residue on the mold, ensuring product quality and production efficiency.

The water-soluble release agent combines the characteristics of similar domestic and international products. It is a viscous emulsion synthesized through advanced molecular synthesis technology and special processes using high-molecular polymers and various chemically active substances. It offers advantages such as fast film formation and easy peeling. The water-soluble release agent is widely applicable in large cement bridge factories, highways, bridges, tracks, subway segments, cement pipe factories, high-rise building concrete aluminum formwork construction, steel formwork construction, wood formwork construction, bamboo plywood forms, resin molds, and ground molds.
