Composite Mold Release Agent

Composite mold release agent is a functional substance that acts between the mold and the finished product. It possesses chemical resistance, remaining undissolved when in contact with various resin chemical components (particularly styrene and amines). It also exhibits heat and stress resistance, being resistant to decomposition or wear. The composite mold release agent adheres to the mold without transferring to the processed part, thereby not interfering with spraying or other secondary processing operations. Due to the rapid development of processes such as injection molding, extrusion, calendaring, compression molding, and lamination, the usage of composite mold release agents has significantly increased.

Performance Requirements

The role of the composite mold release agent is to smoothly separate the cured and formed product from the mold, resulting in a smooth and flat product while ensuring the mold can be used multiple times. Specific performance requirements are as follows:

1. Release performance (lubricity). Forms a uniform film and ensures dimensional accuracy even for complex-shaped molded parts.

2. Excellent sustained release performance.

3. The appearance of the molded part is smooth and aesthetically pleasing, without attracting dust due to the application of sticky composite mold release agents.

4. Superior secondary processability. When the composite mold release agent transfers to the molded part, it has no adverse effects on processes such as electroplating, hot pressing, printing, coating, or bonding.

Usage Method of Composite Mold Release Agent:

Spray or brush the product directly onto the surface of the item to be released. The recommended dilution ratio for the composite mold release agent is 3-10 times, and the specific amount used should be adjusted according to the product system.

Performance Characteristics of Composite Mold Release Agent:

The composite mold release agent is resistant to acids, alkalis, and hard water, highly water-soluble, and has stable emulsion properties. It can be diluted with water in any proportion without layering, demulsification, or clumping. It has a long shelf life, high solid content, and excellent dispersibility. It is used for mold release in industries such as aluminum molds, steel molds, wooden molds, silicone molds, glass, ceramic molds, plastic molds, rubber, metal, and plastics. The composite mold release agent gives the released product a smooth, wear-resistant, and anti-adhesive surface with a pleasant feel.
