Concrete release agent refers to a substance applied to construction formwork before concrete pouring to prevent the formwork from sticking to the concrete surface after pouring, making demolding difficult, or affecting the smoothness of the concrete surface. Its primary function is to form a film between the formwork and the concrete surface, isolating the two, hence it is also known as a parting agent. Concrete release agent is also a water-soluble release agent, meaning its internal components can completely dissolve in water. Emulsions of compounds such as methyl silicone oil are commonly used in industry. The emulsion is water-soluble and can achieve high heat resistance, easy cleaning, good corrosion resistance and fire resistance, minimal environmental pollution, and relatively safe transportation and storage.

Due to its high water content, water-based release agents differ in many aspects from traditional oil-based or solvent-based release agents. The demolding effect of concrete release agents depends on a film only a few micrometers thick deposited on the cavity surface after spraying. Therefore, there are higher requirements for ingredient selection and process application. However, its advantages are also evident, facilitating automated operation, excellent cooling effect, no scaling, improved surface quality of castings, reduced internal porosity, safe use, clean production, and reduced environmental pollution.

Widely used in various steel formworks, wooden formworks, bamboo plywood, plastic boards, and concrete tabletops in concrete engineering construction.

Usage method of concrete release agent:

1. Dilute this product with water at a ratio of 1:5.

2. Clean the formwork thoroughly before application.

3. Stir the product evenly and spray it onto the formwork using a spray gun or brush.

Concrete release agents are divided into external release agents and internal release agents. An external release agent is a coating applied to the mold surface to facilitate the easy removal of the product during molding processing. An ideal release agent should have good thermal and chemical stability, not corrode the mold, leave no decomposition residues on the mold surface, provide a good appearance to the product, not affect the product's color, adhesion, paintability, etc., minimize mold cleaning time, be non-toxic, safe, easy to operate, and low cost. This technology provides a concrete release agent and its application.

This concrete release agent is mainly used for demolding after casting in the production process of polyurethane products, providing good demolding effects for most polyurethane moldings. Its characteristic is that the product uses water as the dispersion phase, forming a water-soluble substance that not only enables the demolding of polyurethane foam but is also biodegradable, produces no harmful substances such as VOCs, and is highly environmentally friendly. Moreover, water, used as a diluent, is non-polluting, readily available, and low-cost.

Technical indicators of concrete release agent:

1. Appearance: Transparent white homogeneous liquid;

2. Solid content: ±20%;

3. pH value: 7-8;

4. Stability: No stratification, no emulsion breaking, no caking.

Precautions for concrete release agent:

1. This product is particularly slippery; use with caution during construction to prevent leaks and slipping.

2. Avoid application on rainy days, but once dried, it is rain-resistant.
