Epoxidized Soybean Oil

Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESO) is produced by the oxidation of edible soybean oil and is widely used as a novel plasticizer. At room temperature, it appears as a light yellow viscous oily liquid. It is the most extensively used epoxy plasticizer and stabilizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It exhibits excellent compatibility with PVC resin, low volatility, and minimal migration. It possesses outstanding thermal and light stability, as well as good water and oil resistance. It enhances the smoothness and gloss of product surfaces, improves thermal stability, increases processing fluidity, and reduces processing temperatures. The physical properties, aging resistance, toughness, and flexural resistance of the products are improved, while the required amounts of plasticizers, stabilizers, and lubricants in the original formulation can be reduced.
