Physical and chemical properties: White loose fine powder, odorless, slightly bitter taste, hygroscopic, decomposes into CaCO₃ and C₃H₆O when heated to 160°C, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol.

Uses:

1. Calcium acetate is used in the production of C₃H₆O, acetic acid, and in the polyester industry, as well as for the synthesis of acetates;

2. Can be used as an analytical reagent;

3. Used as a food stabilizer, chelating agent, mold inhibitor, buffer, flavor enhancer, and corrosion inhibitor;

4. Calcium acetate is an excellent food calcium fortifier, with better absorption than inorganic calcium. It can be used in infant and toddler foods.

Storage: Store sealed in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Do not transport or store with toxic chemicals.
