Viber X Vibration Meter
Other Products
The VIBER-XTM handheld vibration meter is used in factories, particularly for predictive and proactive maintenance of rotating machinery. The complete set includes the instrument, a carrying case, a vibration sensor, and a magnetic base for sensor mounting. The VIBER-XTM measures the root mean square (RMS) vibration velocity (mm/s RMS) within a frequency range of 2Hz to 30kHz (the instrument can measure up to 40kHz, with the limiting factor being the sensor). This range covers the frequencies where most machine faults and defects commonly occur, such as unbalance, looseness, resonance, shaft or gear misalignment, cavitation, and other fluid-induced vibrations. Measurement alarms are supported by several vibration standards. A careful comparison of vibration levels with the actual wear condition of the machine will help build your experiential knowledge, enabling you to determine maintenance needs when vibration increases. A commonly used vibration judgment standard is ISO 10816-3, which has been used and updated worldwide for decades and is highly suitable for long-term continuous
operation of machinery.
The VIBER-XTM also measures the bearing condition (BC) value, which represents the RMS vibration acceleration in the frequency range of 0.5 to 16kHz. An increase in the BC value may indicate issues such as increased bearing vibration noise, poor lubrication, surface wear, or overload due to misalignment. High-frequency vibrations can also be generated by gear meshing, fluid cavitation, and other factors. When a high BC value is detected, further analysis of the specific equipment is necessary to determine the cause of the problem.
