The open mixing mill is a rubber machinery with exposed rollers used in rubber factories for preparing plasticized rubber, mixed rubber, or for heating and shaping. The main working components are two hollow or drilled rollers that rotate inward in opposite directions. The roller on the operator's side is called the front roller, which can be moved horizontally back and forth manually or electrically to adjust the roll gap according to operational requirements; the rear roller is fixed and cannot move back and forth. The two rollers are generally the same size and rotate at different speeds relative to each other. Raw rubber or compound is drawn into the gap between the rollers by their rotation and subjected to intense shearing to achieve plasticizing or mixing.
