1. Product Description
High-purity fused magnesia is a high-purity magnesium oxide crystalline product obtained by using high-purity magnesium oxide as raw material, which is pressed into pellets and then melted at temperatures above 3000°C in an electric arc furnace, followed by cooling and crystallization. High-purity fused magnesia is an excellent electrical insulating material and the preferred raw material for electroceramics. It is also an important raw material for producing high-grade magnesia bricks, magnesia-carbon bricks, and unshaped refractory materials. It can be used to manufacture high-grade and ultra-high-grade temperature-resistant, pressure-resistant, high-frequency insulating materials, thermocouple materials, electronic ceramic materials, nuclear ceramics, nuclear reactors, etc.
Due to its extremely low iron content, fused magnesia is the preferred product for the production of electrical-grade magnesium oxide.
