It is employed in the production of detergents, cleaning agents for printing plates, and as a mordant in dyeing processes. It is a raw material for manufacturing sodium pyrophosphate and other phosphates, as well as a culture medium for monosodium glutamate, erythromycin, penicillin, streptomycin, and wastewater treatment products.
