Properties: Yellow powder with a strong irritating odor, poorly soluble in water and petroleum ether, soluble in common organic solvents, particularly easily soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, and benzene.

Applications: NPMI is primarily used as a heat-resistant modifier in polymer materials (such as ABS, etc.); as a cross-linking agent in the rubber industry for polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride; adhesives made with NPMI can improve the bonding between metals and rubber; it is also used as a raw material for coatings, photosensitive resins, rubber accelerators, and insulating varnishes, serving as an important intermediate for pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and dyes.
As an excellent heat-resistant modifier for thermoplastic resins, NPMI has long been widely used in the development of advanced composite matrix resins and adhesives, offering excellent processability, ease of molding, thermal meltability, toughness, and impact resistance. Blending ABS with 15% NPMI yields ultra-heat-resistant ABS, increasing heat resistance by over 35°C. Adding 25% NPMI to polyvinyl chloride raises the heat distortion temperature by 50°C; adding 25% NPMI to polyethylene terephthalate increases it to over 70°C. NPMI can be used to create plastic alloys with thermoplastic resins such as polystyrene, polymethyl methacrylate, and polyamide, effectively enhancing the properties of various resins.
Additionally, NPMI is an aquatic bio-repellent. Steel products coated with a paint containing 15% NPMI showed no growth of oysters or algae after eight months in seawater. It also has promising applications as a broad-spectrum bactericide in the pesticide field, as well as extensive uses in adhesives and rubber additives.

Storage: Should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Packaged products should be protected from direct sunlight.
