Properties: Gray powder or granules, non-toxic, relative density 1.23, melting point not lower than 135°C, soluble in acetone and methanol, slightly soluble in dichloroethane, benzene, hot water, and hot alkaline solution, insoluble in gasoline and water.
Applications: TPPD is mainly used as an antioxidant for neoprene rubber, natural rubber, cis-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, and their latexes. It provides excellent protection against ozone and oxygen aging, and also inhibits copper and manganese damage. It is particularly suitable for protecting fiber materials from the destructive effects of chlorine released during the aging of neoprene rubber. This product disperses easily and can be directly added to rubber or made into an aqueous dispersion for addition to latex. When used in neoprene rubber, combining it with antioxidant ODA results in better heat resistance and can reduce the plasticity of unvulcanized neoprene rubber, decreasing shrinkage during calendering, thus helping to adjust the dimensions of semi-finished products. It is mainly used in the production of wires and cables, tires, V-belts, sealing strips, rubber cloth, and light-colored industrial products.
Packaging: Kraft paper bags or paper drums, 25Kg/bag (drum).
Storage: Should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Packaged products should be kept away from direct sunlight.
