MDVR Recorder IC ID Certification

Products with wireless functions such as Bluetooth, WiFi, 433MHz, etc., exported to Canada require IC ID certification under standard: RSS247.

Wireless products exported to Canada must provide a local representative. The applicant, manufacturer, and local agent in Canada all need to be registered for the IC ID application.

Documents required for IC ID:

1. User manual (must include warning statements)

2. Circuit schematic, block diagram, PCB layout (routing diagram), working principle description, label

3. Bill of Materials (BOM)

4. Antenna specification sheet

5. Fixed-frequency prototype, fixed-frequency software, fixed-frequency operation instructions, etc.

IC ID official fees:

ISED notification on July 4: Starting September 1, 2023, the Canadian ISED wireless equipment listing fee will be replaced by an equipment registration fee. The fees are divided into new application registration (including New single and New family Applications) at $750 and modification application registration (including C1PC, C2PC, C3PC, C4PC, Multiple listing, and Transfer of certification) at $375.

IC ID multi-model requirements: Currently accepted model differences include different appearance, different colors, and different trademarks. For different models, samples must be provided for photography.
