Mold and Antibacterial Solution for Heavy Bamboo and Common Bamboo Products

Through years of visiting factories producing heavy bamboo and ordinary bamboo products, we have found that many products are at high risk of mold growth, and there is a lack of understanding about how to address this issue. In fact, the solution is quite simple: by incorporating anti-mold products into the manufacturing process, the risk of mold during the rainy season can be avoided. This eliminates concerns about mold growth when the finished products are exposed to humid environments or after they are sold. Through extensive testing by our laboratory engineers, we have developed a solution that completely resolves this problem.

Differences in mold prevention between heavy bamboo and ordinary bamboo processes:

Heavy bamboo process: Heavy bamboo is made by breaking bamboo into filaments, soaking them in adhesive, and then hot-pressing. Therefore, adding anti-mold agents through soaking or incorporating them into the paint can achieve excellent anti-mold effects.

Ordinary bamboo process: The bamboo is split, sliced into whole bamboo strips, subjected to high-temperature carbonization, vacuum high-pressure treatment, and then anti-mold and anti-corrosion agents are added to achieve functionality. This process preserves the natural flexibility of bamboo. Through high-temperature carbonization and vacuum high-pressure treatment, the original air inside the bamboo strips is removed, oxidation is prevented, and anti-corrosion, anti-mold, and insecticide agents are added. Hot-pressing is then used to form the final boards, ensuring the anti-mold products deliver excellent results.

Usage Methods
1. Treatment process:
A. To ensure the anti-mold and insect-resistant effects of treated bamboo, wood, rattan, grass, and their products, soaking with iHeir-JP solution should result in a weight increase of 10%-20%.
B. Fully submerge bamboo, wood, rattan, grass, and their products in the prepared solution (ensure no part is exposed above the liquid). After achieving a 10%-20% weight increase, remove and drain the solution. Air-dry or sun-dry before packaging and storage.
C. For spray application, dilute with water or alcohol at a ratio of 1:10-20, mix thoroughly, and spray directly onto the surface of bamboo, wood, rattan, grass, and their products, or apply with a brush. Ensure the agent fully covers the surface, then allow to air-dry or wind-dry naturally.
D. The prepared solution is stable and can be reused. It is recommended to use it within one month.
2. After treatment via soaking or spraying, bamboo, wood, rattan, grass, and their products with a moisture content below 25% will remain mold-resistant for over one year, even in harsh environments.
3. Packaging and storage: 25Kg/drum. Store in a dry, dark environment. Valid for 3 years.
Dilution Ratio
For soaking solution, prepare at a ratio of 1:15 (1 kg of bamboo and wood mold inhibitor : 15 kg of water).

Paint Mold Inhibitor Product Introduction:

Paint mold inhibitor is a highly effective, non-toxic bactericide suitable for paints, PU, latex paints, polymer emulsions, pigment pastes, and various oil-based coatings. It can also be used to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi during the production and storage of printing inks and other water-based organic products. Paint mold inhibitor is widely used for sterilizing and preventing mold on paint film surfaces. Extensive experiments and practical applications have shown that it provides excellent antibacterial and anti-corrosion functions for acrylic, polyvinyl acetate, polystyrene butyrate, and other copolymers, with excellent compatibility with organic and inorganic components in these products.

Usage Methods
Paint mold inhibitor is supplied in liquid form, making it easy to mix. Its antibacterial and anti-corrosion effects are not affected by the point of addition. It can be added directly during the grinding or paint mixing process. To ensure uniform dispersion after adding the paint mold inhibitor, emulsions and oil-based paints must be thoroughly stirred (recommended addition ratio: 1-1.5%). When processed with microbial capsule technology on packaging materials, the concentration of active ingredients depends on the size of the product or space.
