The main advantages of laser repair are its high power density and minimal thermal impact on the component base. It can repair materials that argon arc surfacing cannot. The drawbacks of laser repair are also evident: difficulty in creating drawings before laser processing, challenges in applying digital models, extensive programming workload due to complex 3D models requiring layer-by-layer coding, cumbersome program modifications, difficulty in achieving 3D positioning during processing after model establishment, and the inability to perform on-site repairs for large components because laser repair equipment is too bulky to transport.
