This product is a colorless or light yellow transparent oily liquid, soluble in hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, esters, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and other organic solvents, but insoluble in diols and water. It is an excellent cold-resistant plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), with high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, and good heat resistance, making it suitable for use at higher temperatures. The product exhibits good weather resistance and electrical insulation properties and is often used in combination with phthalate plasticizers for applications such as cold-resistant wires and cable materials, artificial leather, films, sheets, and other products. It is non-toxic and can be used in food packaging materials. It also serves as a low-temperature plasticizer for various synthetic rubbers and as a cold-resistant plasticizer for nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose.
