Detailed Introduction to Gasification Plates and Gasification Troughs in Pneumatic Conveying Systems
Other Products
Xiangye aeration pads and aeration channels are critical components in pneumatic conveying systems used to fluidize powdered materials. Below is a detailed introduction about them: Aeration Pads • Structural Composition: Composed of sintered silicon carbide particles forming the aeration pad, a steel housing, connecting flanges, and rubber sealing rings. The aeration pad is the core component, featuring excellent air permeability and wear resistance, while the housing is made of steel. • Working Principle: During discharge, heated compressed air is introduced through the bottom connection of the aeration pad device. The air passes uniformly through the aeration pad into the material layer, loosening the material in the hopper and fully fluidizing it. This enhances material flowability, prevents arching or bridging in the hopper, and ensures smooth discharge. • Technical Parameters: Taking common silicon carbide aeration pads as an example, they have a porosity of 37.9%, density of 2.22 g/cm³, compressive strength of 67.7 MPa, flexural strength of 27.3 MPa, material composition of SiC, air permeability of 0.8 m³/m²·min, and temperature resistance exceeding 400°C. • Installation Location: Primarily used at the bottom of conical ash silos and hoppers. Typically, two pads are installed near the discharge outlet, and four pads are arranged at the conical bottom.
Aeration Channels • Structural Features: Mainly formed by molding silicon carbide aeration pads and metal housings, creating an internal aeration chamber. The aeration pads are sealed with high-temperature-resistant silicone rubber. The channel body is molded in one piece using a pressing process, ensuring airtight sealing at the housing and connections, with smooth and flat base plates and flange surfaces. • Working Principle: Similar to aeration pads, compressed air is introduced through the bottom or side connections of the device, passing uniformly through the aeration pads into the material layer. This loosens and fully fluidizes the material in the hopper, preventing discharge blockages or clogging, and ensuring continuous, stable, and safe operation. • Installation Layout: Used at the bottom of flat-bottom ash silos, uniformly arranged across the base. The inclination angle from the silo edge to the discharge outlet should be no less than 6°, and the coverage area should be at least 15% of the silo’s bottom area. When two ash discharge openings are spaced 1.8m or more apart, two sloping channels with opposite directions should be installed between them to feed material to both openings. • Relationship with Aeration Pads: Aeration channels can be considered as a type of aeration device composed of multiple aeration pads. Aeration pads are essential components of aeration channels. Both serve to fluidize powdered materials but differ in structural form and application scenarios.
