XL-DN-1 Single Wire and Cable Vertical Flame Test Apparatus

I. Basic Introduction:

The single wire and cable vertical flame test apparatus is designed for simulating the combustion performance safety test of single wires and cables as specified in standards such as GB/T18380.11-2008, GB/T18380.12-2008, GB/T18380.21-2008, GB/T18380.22-2008, IEC60332-1,

and GB/T5169.14-2007.

The single wire and cable vertical flame test involves using a Bunsen burner of specified dimensions and a specific gas source (propane) to apply a timed flame to vertically oriented samples at a certain flame height and angle. The flammability and fire hazard are evaluated based on the sample's ignition, sustained burning time, and burn length.

The single wire and cable vertical flame test apparatus primarily assesses the flammability of single wires and cables with conductor diameters greater than 8mm (cross-sectional area greater than 0.5mm²) or less than 8mm (cross-sectional area less than 0.5mm²). It is suitable for research, production, and quality inspection departments of electrical and electronic products and their components, including lighting equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances, machine tool electrical appliances, motors, power tools, electronic instruments, electrical meters, electrical connectors, and accessories.

Burner: One Bunsen burner with an inner diameter of Φ12mm ± 0.5mm (compliant with GB/T18380.11)

Test tilt angle: 45°

Flame height: Adjustable from 20mm ± 2mm to 190mm ± 1mm

Flame application time: Adjustable from 0-99.99s ± 0.1s

After-flame time: 0-99.99s ± 0.1s, automatically recorded, manually pausable

Combustion gas: 95% propane gas (generally, liquefied petroleum gas can be used as a substitute)

Flow pressure: Equipped with dual flow meters and pressure gauges (for gas and air)

Temperature test range: 0~1000°C

Flame temperature requirement: Time from 100°C ± 5°C to 700°C ± 3°C within 45 seconds ± 5 seconds

Temperature measurement thermocouple: Imported armored thermocouple (K-type), Φ0.5mm

Test process: Automatically controlled test procedure, independent exhaust system
