Product Description

The thermal stability tester is suitable for conducting 200°C ± 0.5°C thermal stability tests on soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and plastic insulation sheaths in the wire and cable industry. Its structure and performance fully comply with GB/T 2951-32:2008 "Common Test Methods for Insulating and Sheathing Materials of Electric and Optical Cables - Part 32: Clause 9: Thermal Stability Test for Insulation and Sheath", IEC 60811-3-2, GB/T 8815-2008, and QB/T 3804-99 "Soft Polyvinyl Chloride Plastics for Wire and Cable". EN 60811-405:2012 (European standard referencing IEC 60811)

Technical Parameters

Three Standard Configurations:

1) Standard configuration: Glass test tubes: 3 pcs (including 1 bakelite support plate)

Length 110mm, outer diameter approx. 5~6mm, inner diameter (4.0±0.5)mm, one end sealed;

The glass test tubes used shall comply with the following specifications:

—ISO 695-1991: Grade A2 alkali resistance;

—ISO 719-1985: Grade HGB3 hydrolysis;

—ISO 1776-1985: Acid resistance, mass loss 150ug Na₂O/100cm²

2) Optional configuration: According to GB/T 2917.1/ISO 182-1 (Congo Red method) standard, 3 stations:

Test tubes: outer diameter approx. 17MM, wall thickness approx. 0.4MM, length not less than 150MM (4 pcs);

Thin glass tubes: inner diameter 2~3MM, length approx. 100MM (5 pcs); 1 bakelite test tube stand;

1 pack each of Congo red test paper and universal test paper

3) Optional configuration: According to GB/T 8815-2008 (Congo Red method) standard, 6 stations:

Glass test tubes: inner diameter 12~13MM, height 95MM (7 pcs);

Cork or rubber stoppers: 7 pcs; 1 bakelite test tube stand;

1 pack each of Congo red test paper and universal test paper
