Description:

Application:
Used on network cables laid inside buildings to locally protect equipment from transient overvoltages induced on data cables by magnetic fields caused by lightning strikes.

Installation:
Connect the protector in series between the incoming data cable and the equipment. Create appropriate grounding attachments.

Technical Note:
ESP LN... series protectors are designed only for cables running inside buildings and cannot provide protection against transient high levels for cables between buildings. They must not be used in the following scenarios: if used for inter-building cables, the protector is highly likely to overload and be instantly destroyed. When connecting equipment, in most cases, protection is achieved, but there is a small possibility of equipment damage.
