Function and Application Areas
The OBO CNS 3-D-PRC (Class D lightning protection socket, installed in LPZ2-3 zones) is specifically designed and manufactured for terminal equipment such as computers, monitors, and printers. It provides protection for all terminal devices connected to the socket.
The protection circuit of the OBO CNS 3-D-PRC consists of gas discharge tubes and varistors, with continuous monitoring via a built-in thermal fuse. When the green LED is lit, it indicates that the lightning protection socket is in good condition. If a fault occurs, the red LED lights up, the green LED turns off, and a continuous audible signal alerts maintenance personnel for replacement.
Installation
Installation of the OBO CNS 3-D-PRC is very simple: just plug it directly into a socket on the circuit, and then plug the device's plug into the CNS 3-D-PRC socket. It is important to ensure that the lightning protection socket is properly grounded.
