Function and Application Areas
The OBO VF 230-AC surge protector serves as an overvoltage protection component for engineering control systems, signal flow loops, power transmission trunk systems, and computer systems. The varistors in the protective circuit of the VF series surge protectors ensure a very low protection level under the FKA's maximum limiting discharge current. The circuit includes gas discharge tubes and zinc oxide varistors, monitored by thermal fuses. When aging or overload occurs in the internal components of the arrester, the built-in circuit breaker immediately cuts off the circuit, and the green status indicator light extinguishes. For models equipped with a remote signal alarm device (FS), the floating changeover contact is activated.
Installation
The OBO VF 230 series arrester can be directly mounted on a standard 35mm DIN rail using clips. The provided plug-in connectors allow for the connection of remote signal indication devices.
